CPV-218

The Crown Piston Seal (CPS) is a squeeze-type, double-acting piston seal designed to replace standard O-rings, Quad-Rings®, and T-seals in the same grooves. The seal features a 95A urethane sealing element with a 70A nitrile energizer. Back-up rings can be added to one or both sides when fitting wider grooves, while the wide-base -2 style eliminates the need for additional back-up rings. Some parts are available in the CPV vented style, which features reliefs in the top and bottom of the seal. These vents allow minute amounts of fluid to escape from the sealing lip against the piston, helping maintain pressure while preventing pressure overload.
