The MPSA 5-Piece Piston Seal is a double-acting piston seal assembly originally designed for one-piece pistons and also adaptable for two-piece pistons. Designed for medium-duty applications, the five-piece assembly includes a multi-lip rubber sealing element, two split polymer support rings, and two split L-shaped bearings. Grooves in the bearings help direct fluid pressure to energize the sealing element, while the extended lips of the support rings help protect against extrusion and pressure trapping during operation.
