Nitrile (NBR) may be the most common elastomeric seal material for use in applications requiring oil
resistance, durability and set resistance. Nitrile materials are compatible with most hydraulic media,
including petroleum oils, water glycols, water/oil emulsions and many synthetics. A-8501 is a
multipurpose grade 70 shores A category NBR. It is suited to use in compression applications at
temperatures from -35 degrees F to +265 degrees F. It has excellent set and fluid resistance. It is
commonly used in T seals, Z seal lips and other applications requiring sealability and set resistance NBR is
not recommended for use where exposed to sunlight or ozone. |

resistance, durability and set resistance. Nitrile materials are compatible with most hydraulic media,
including petroleum oils, water glycols, water/oil emulsions and many synthetics. A-8502 is a
multipurpose grade 80 shore A category NBR. It is suited to use in lip and compression seal applications at
temperatures -35 degrees F to +265 degrees F. It has excellent set and fluid resistance. It is not
recommended for used where exposed to sunlight or ozone. |

Nitrile materials are compatible with most hydraulic media, including petroleum oils, water glycols, water/oil emulsions and many synthetics. A-8504 is an extended temperature grade material suitable for use from -65 degrees F to +240 degrees F. It has the lowest possible NBR temperature range and is well suited for use in Z seal lips, T seals and other products that must perform in cold weather. NBR is not recommended for use where exposed to sunlight or ozone. |

and fluid resistance. Carboxylated Nitrile has excellent toughness, wear resistance and resistance to fluids.
C-7001 is a 75 shore A category material, suitable for use in compression seal applications requiring the
toughness of XNBR. It is very commonly used for T seals and Z seal lips. Carboxylated Nitriles have very
good high temperature resistance but are not well suited to use in cold weather. Recommended application
range is 0 degrees F to +275 degrees F. |
